After a great deal of searching, I finally found a kitty spa product that I like. Those of you with cats may know how difficult it can be to find good products for cats. There is an abundance of dog products, even the natural and organic selections are vast. However, cats don’t fare as well. There are products for cats, but the selection of natural and organic products is limited. I’ve been looking for something natural, safe, gentle, and acceptable to most cats.
This foam cleansing product is mild and gentle, requires no rinsing, and doesn’t upset most cats–even the finicky ones. There’s no strong odor either. It keeps the cat clean and comfortable without going through the entire bath routine. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t bathe my cats frequently. They are both strictly indoor cats, so there’s not much to get into. However, I have one cat that needs serious deodorizing every time I have to put him in a crate for any reason.
For example, if the plumber is coming and I don’t want him to get out or get in the way, I’ll put him in a carrier. It doesn’t seem particularly traumatic; he’s just set in a carrier with food and water in my office for an hour while the work is being done. We also travel quite often, and he is often in his crate without ending up at the vet or enduring any other trauma. But to him, even an hour in the carrier is apparently as traumatic as going in for major surgery. He never fails to pee all over the crate and himself. This brings up a serious need for a gentle cleansing product.
My other cat is a Maine Coon with a genetic abnormality that causes her coat to mat like crazy. She grew up being bathed and groomed, but as an adult, she’s decided she wants no part of any help caring for her coat. However, my husband and I and our vet have other ideas. So we also need a product that’s easy to use and helps detangle this type of coat.
A shipment of Pal Kitty Freshen-Up Foam arrived the day before yesterday. I promptly opened it and began a mission of working on our kitties. Those of you who know what I do, from my website, know that I’m not easily impressed. I use a lot of products. This foam is absolutely great. I won’t try to tell you that the Maine Coon is begging me to bathe her again (LOL), but I didn’t have to get three people to help me either.
My next step was to immediately add this product to my online boutique in the bath and spa category. I’m still looking for more organic, natural, safe kitty products to add too.
